Game Specifications

Falling Nikochan

Game Rules

  • When the Nikochan (smiley faces) aligns with the judgment line, press any key (except Esc) on a PC, or tap anywhere on the screen on a tablet or smartphone.
  • Regardless of the Nikochan's position or falling direction, all are the same note.
  • For larger Nikochans, pressing two keys simultaneously or tapping with two fingers will grant bonus points.

Level Difficulty

  • There may be multiple charts (levels) for one song. Each chart is labeled with a difficulty level such as Single-4, Double-8, Maniac-12, etc.
  • Levels marked Single has no simultaneous presses, so it can be easily played with one hand. Levels marked Double may require processing two notes simultaneously, and Maniac may require processing three or more notes simultaneously.
    • You don't necessarily have to play exactly as indicated (e.g., Single is for one-handed play).
  • The number after the difficulty level (1-20) indicates the difficulty of the level.
    • The difficulty level is automatically calculated based only on the note density of the charts. Note placement patterns and the appearance of the charts are not considered, so the difficulty may not always match the indicated level. Please use this only as a guideline.

Scores

  • The score consists of three components: "Base Score," "Combo Bonus," and "Big Bonus," with a maximum total of 120 points.
  • Based on the total score, you will be evaluated as a rank: B (70~), B+ (80~), A (90~), A+ (100~), S (110~), S+ (120~).

Base Score (80 points)

  • Depending on when the Nikochan is tapped, There is a judgment condition of Good(±40ms), OK(±80ms) and Bad(+150ms ~ -250ms)).
  • If all notes are judged "Good", the total score will be 80, and "OK" judgment earns 0.3 times the points of a "Good" judgment.

Chain Bonus (20 points)

  • Hitting the notes consecutively with "Good" or "OK" judgments increases the chain, and bonus points are awarded accordingly.

Big Bonus (20 points)

  • This bonus is awarded when pressing two keys or tapping with two fingers on a big Nikochan.
  • There is only one judgment criterion: points are awarded if the timing is within ±80ms.
  • In charts with no big Nikochan, there is no Big Bonus, and the maximum score is 100 points.
